Setting Up The Biz (Legally)
I think I did it right? Maybe? If I didn’t we’ll find out soon, lol.
To sum up what I’ve done in the past month, I did:
Brainstorm ideas for brand name, logo, and concept
Make this website so I can have a domain and work email
Sign up for a virtual address using iPostal because I can’t run a business using my apartment address according to my lease
File for a business license and trade name with my state department of revenue (WA state DoR) using the address I signed up for on iPostal
Create social media accounts (only instagram so far) to reach out to artists and other retailers
…Now that I take a look at it, it doesn’t seem like I did much. :/
Hopefully, iPostal and WA DoR will get back to me soon! In the meantime, I’ll keep working on fleshing out this website and building up an online community!
